One of the biggest and most powerful reasons that motivated me to quit drinking was the agony of the hangovers. For years and years, almost every Saturday and Sunday morning, I woke up feeling like hell.

The head-splitting headaches; the dehydration; the nausea; the vomiting; and the inability to think, perform, recover, or get anything done for the entire morning — and in many cases the entire day — was a nasty combination that made me miserable.

As somebody who generally gets dehydrated very easily, I inevitably used to suffer from EXTREME hangovers each and every morning following a night of drinking — devastating day-after nightmares that would affect me for the next 24 hours.

And they only got worse and worse as time went by.

When I first started drinking in 2007 as a freshman in college, my hangovers were not that devastating. I rarely suffered from any morning-after-consequences at all. But as time went by, the morning-after-symptoms slowly but surely got more and more intense, horrible, and devastating.
