Insider Tips: High Point Market

Originally published October 19, 2016

Everyone’s busy gearing up for the Fall 2016 installation of High Point Market — opening this Saturday, Oct. 22 in High Point, NC. Known for being one of the biggest and best shows on the East Coast, High Point Market transforms the entire town into a vibrant furniture hotspot for five full days.

We asked members of the Bonagora team and seasoned High Point veterans for their top tips on how to get the most out of the market. Here’s what we found.

During Market Hours

The coat check is free. Use it!

Visit the Interhall first to get the latest design trends and first picks on products.

Enjoy the complimentary bloody marys that are served before noon in the halls of IHFC. They taste especially good after a long night at a client dinner.

Find one-of-a-kind pieces at Golden Oldies by Go Home. The junkyard-style set up outside gets you in the mood to search for vintage treasures and works particularly well when the sun is shining.

Don’t miss the town buildings that double as showrooms for Bliss Studio and Noir. They look incredible and this showroom design is unique to High Point.

Where to Eat

At the market, many showrooms will be offering free snacks and even sometimes feels throughout the day. We recommend swinging by Phillips Collection. Their daily special of honey ribs are always on point.

The Print Works Bistro is praised by our team as the best bar and restaurant in Greensboro. They use fresh, local ingredients and offer all of the classic comfort foods.

Truffle fries from the Green Valley Grill, also located in Greensboro, are a must-try.

Where to Party

On Sunday, our team will be throwing a fiesta with Worldly Goods. There will be chips, guac, salsa, margaritas and even a live mariachi band. Find out more and RSVP on our event page.

Following our fiesta, Oly Studio will host their legendary party. Be warned, things can get pretty crazy. Rumor has it they even have goats walking around…

Don’t Miss Anything

Last but not least, follow Bonagora for market news! We will be posting updates throughout the week on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Can’t wait to meet you in NC!
