Did Uber ask Aimee to write this… even with the line about “these are not the opinons of Uber” this doesn’t smell right. As if “but wait… there are women to lean on at Uber — we’re not that bad! Please still consider that job with us!” …I appreciate Aimee trying to spread the word that this happens in tech, because it does. But I could concur that one should save themselves. Toxic work environments are not worth it. Learned the wrong way. Not that it’s perfect anywhere. I’m sure even at Facebook with Sheryl Sandberg I’m sure sexism still exists there. But to just continue to sit in the belly of the beast… no thank you.
