Stray Cat Strut: Give Harvey Milk a Home for PRIDE
Everyone knows that June is Pride month, but did you know it’s also Adopt-a-Shelter-Cat month? To celebrate, here are the queerest cats up for adoption in the Seattle area.
Won’t you give Harvey Milk or Eleanor Roosevelt the forever home they crave?
“I have been described as a wise, compassionate, and mysterious fellow. I’m just a sweet, fun-loving, well dressed regular guy hoping to find true love.”
“She is a true lover girl who likes to snuggle when she wants to snuggle. Likes high places.”
“They have spent many years together and would love to spend many more in their new home. These ladies have no patience for playful puppies. They would prefer a home with older children or no kids as they are only interested in being gently loved on.”
“He is a shy but talkative guy who loves food. His foster parents said he was a gentle and happy boy that needed to feel safe.”
“Come meet this stunning overlooked kitty! This long-haired tabby wants the simple things in life — naps, yummy food, fun toys, a window to look out and the company of a human.”
“So sweet and a tiny bit shy in new situations, we are looking for a quieter household for this darling girl. This medium haired playful and gentle gal is a catch!”
“While she was pregnant, Endora was hit by a car and suffered major injuries. She still has neurological challenges and has limited control over her hind quarters. Endora gets along great with other cats and doesn’t seem to mind dogs. She is very loving and adores attention.”
“She is an old dear who really craves warmth and tenderness. She is a lady-in-waiting who would truly love to be your doting companion. She has exceptional house manners, always using the litter box and scratching post.”
“Macy is a quiet, sweet kitty with a mellow, independent soul. She is content to while away the hours taking long cat naps, or gazing out the window. She is a calm, gentle companion and will make a wonderful buddy to snuggle and enjoy a good book.”
“He explored our apartment, slipping into cupboards and past closed shower curtains with such skill and silence. He didn’t make a mess of things — just slipped in, sniffed and prodded, and slipped out.”
“I am an irresistible combination of an affectionate and attentive friend. I was found on the streets but was definitely a pet as I am the sweetest of kitties. I am also a very brave kitty, the vacuum never scares me! In the words of the actress Mae West, “You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.”
“Her frisky side comes out for ferocious mouse play, then she reverts to the cuddly sweetheart. Because she is so tuned to her humans, she is likely happiest as the only cat. And her “love bites” preclude a home with young children.”
