Is YA growing up too fast?

There are a series of books by Holly Bourne, one of which I own and another I’m buying soon called ‘The Spinster series’

Bearing in mind these are YA books and aimed at 15–19 year olds, are they saying that if you don’t have a boyfriend during those years that you are a spinster????

What the hell has happened to the world that teenagers are judging themselves so harshly?

Are they being pressured to grow up so fast that they feel a need for a boyfriend/girlfriend in their teens?

I do hope this is a tongue in cheek title and not representative of most teenagers around right now
