In today’s blog post, I’m excited to share with you three books that have had a profound impact on my life. Reading has been a significant contributing factor to my journey, allowing me to achieve my current status as a multi-millionaire at the age of 21 with multiple successful businesses. I don’t want to brag, but the point I want to emphasize is that reading played a vital role in my success. I started reading a book a week when I was just 14 years old, and I continued this habit through 2014, 2015, 2016, and part of 2017. I’ll admit that I started to slack a bit after that. Nevertheless, for three and a half years, I religiously read a book a week. So, in today’s blog post, I want to share three books that have made a significant impact on my life. These three are just a fraction of the many books that have influenced me. I’ve intentionally chosen some that you might not have heard of or considered, beyond the typical recommendations like “Think and Grow Rich” or “How to Win Friends and Influence People.”

If you enjoy this video, I’d be more than happy to create another one where I share five additional books that have had a profound impact on my life. I’ll delve into some of the less commonly known ones, books that might be considered somewhat esoteric, like “The Kybalion.” But let’s not waste any more time, and let’s get started with the first book.

One thing to keep in mind is that some of these books are so important to me that I even bought physical copies just for this video, despite being an avid Kindle reader. So, let’s dive into the first book.

Book 1: “Atomic Habits” by James Clear

I read this book at the end of 2019, and I had a few people recommend it to me. At first, I was hesitant, thinking, “I’ve already read 15 to 20 other books on habits. Do I really need another one?” I was wrong. Out of all the books on habits and discipline, in my opinion, this one is the most practical and effective. It’s not about who came up with a concept first; it’s about who explains it the best. In my opinion, that accolade goes to James Clear.

“Atomic Habits” provides a roadmap for identifying the habits that will yield the highest returns in your life and a practical plan for integrating them. Many books on habit and discipline throw around studies, but they often lack actionable advice on making those habits stick. James Clear, in my opinion, excels at showing you how to make habits stick. He doesn’t just present abstract concepts; he gets straight to the point. This book helps you understand why you do what you do and, most importantly, how to make your habits stick.

Book 2: “Way of the Superior Man” by David Deida

Don’t let the title deter you, as this book is not just for men. I’ve even given this book to all my ex-girlfriends because it provides insights into understanding not just me but also the dynamics of an entrepreneurial mindset. It’s about understanding masculine and feminine energies in a relationship, and how the dance between the two can be intricate and beautiful. Even though the book is written for men, it’s worth reading for anyone interested in understanding these energies and how they relate to relationships and career.

If you’re very masculine in your essence, this book will serve as a valuable playbook on how to navigate your masculine energy and deal with it effectively. One of the critical lessons it imparts is mastering one’s sexual energy, a challenge many young men face. It’s essential to learn how to transmute and focus that energy, as it can have a significant impact on your career and life in general.

Book 3: “Meditations” by Marcus Aurelius

This book holds a special place in my heart, and I’ve had it since 2015. Marcus Aurelius is one of the greatest minds in history, and “Meditations” provides an intimate glimpse into his thoughts. These were never intended for publication; they were his personal notes. This unfiltered look into the mind of a brilliant stoic is incredibly enlightening. The book is filled with wisdom, and I’ve reread it countless times, with many pages highlighted. It’s a treasure that I keep by my bedside and continue to turn to for inspiration.

Marcus Aurelius’ reflections and insights are powerful and offer a unique perspective on life. The book’s unfiltered nature makes it even more valuable, as it’s like having a private conversation with one of the greatest thinkers in history.

Bonus Book 1: “The Everything Store”

This book is a biography of Jeff Bezos and provides a detailed account of the creation of Amazon. It highlights Bezos’s long-term thinking and his commitment to customer obsession. It’s an incredible story of how Amazon transformed from being labeled a scam to the e-commerce giant it is today. Bezos’s approach to business and innovation is worth studying, even if you may not agree with all his methods.

Bonus Book 2: “Sam Walton: Made in America”

This book tells the story of Walmart and its founder, Sam Walton. It offers valuable insights into the creation and growth of the retail giant. Sam Walton’s principles, such as putting the customer first, have influenced many successful entrepreneurs, including Jeff Bezos.

Bonus Book 3: “48 Laws of Power”

This book delves into Machiavellian thinking and teaches you about power dynamics and manipulation. While it’s essential to approach the book with caution, as not everyone in your life will have such intentions, it can be valuable in helping you recognize and understand those who do. This book provides insights into human behavior and the strategies people use to gain power.
