Solemnized at the M. E. Church Wednesday Evening — Have Gone on a Long Bridal Tour

What was the most brilliant wedding in Benton for years, was solemnized in the Methodist church, on Wednesday evening when Miss Effie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas F. Seely and Mr. Frank C. Laubach, son of Dr. and Mrs. J. B. Laubach, were joined in the holy bonds of wedlock, by Rev. Harry W. Newman, pastor of the church.

The impressive ring ceremony was used in this marriage, that was witnessed by an audience of relatives and friends that crowded the edifice. The bride, beautifully attired in white, was attended by her sister, Miss Grace, and given away by her father. The wedding march was played by Miss Bertelle Luabach, sister of the groom.

After the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents. Both church and house decorations were appropriate to the season and beautiful ferns, honeysuckles, and apple blossoms entering largely into the decorative scheme. The popularity of the young couple was evidenced in the wealth of presents given the bride.

Last night they left for New York City, and on Friday, will embark for Nassau, Bahama Islands, where they will spend five months, occupying the Manse of Rev. W. J. Brown; Mr .Laubach taking the pastorage of that divine who is on a vacation to this country.

Mr. Laubach is a graduate of Princeton University, taking several prizes for excellency in scholarship while there. More recently he has been a student of the Union Theological Seminary, of New York City, as has also the . bride , and upon their return to this country in October, will resume their studies there. The Argus joins the legions of friends of these fine young people in wishing them a happy married life, a safe voyage, and prosperity.
