I’ve read many articles about the challenges of being unemployed, but no one has ever captured my own experiences as closely as yours. This article deserves to be read and shared by everyone both with and without a job. No one can truly understand how debilitating it is to lose the ability to provide for your own basic necessities in life and the struggle to find a job. Especially trying to adjust to a “gig economy” after a successful corporate career. Competing for jobs with college graduates who employers assume are the only ones who will work for lower wages. And, dealing with toxic environments full of sexual harassment which deny attractive women jobs because they’re “too big of a risk.” I hope this article throws light on the problem and motivates people to take action. If nothing else, it gave me hope that someone else understands.
