This stuck out to me too.

Because if he didn’t work retail she couldn’t get all indignant about how OF COURSE his time off was unpaid and money is SO tight and they RARELY take vacations…

I am the first one in the streets about raising the minimum wage, improving working conditions, and unionizing, but there is something that really rubs me the wrong way about the way she over-emphasizes their hardships. Like CAN you complain about how little money you make when you also glorify a time marked by extreme class division and poverty? And obviously so much confuses me about her romanticization of the past without thinking about the implications for women, POC, etc.
