What, exactly is insulin resistance?
Dr. Jason Fung

What an amazing post. It just makes perfect sense. Blood glucose is chronically high, so insulin is constantly trying to get rid of it in bloodstream and introduce glucose into the cells. But poor cells are overflowing with glucose and deregulates itself to insulin action and glucose introduction. So panchreas continues doing its secreting labor, because removing glucose from blood is priority numer one. And that hyperinsulinemia perpetuates the problem. Solution? Attack hyperinsulinemia with lyfestyle changes. Thanks Dr. Fung!
