What Are the 7 Deadly Sins?

The 12 Kinds of Sins Human Beings Are Born With

What are the 7 deadly sins

Throughout our lives, we continuously spill sin without even realizing it. The reason why we are going to hell is that we do not know ourselves. According to Mark 7:21–23, all kinds of evil things come from within our hearts and defile us. From the moment we are conceived, our hearts are filled with evil thoughts, and we are like a glass filled to the brim with some filthy liquid, namely, our sins.

And He said, “What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts,

  1. adulteries
  2. fornications
  3. murders
  4. thefts
  5. covetousness
  6. wickedness
  7. deceit
  8. lewdness
  9. an evil eye
  10. blasphemy
  11. pride
  12. foolishness.

All these evil things come from within and defile a man.”

As we move about, sin spills everywhere we go. We are masses of sin, and we will sin throughout our lives. The problem is that we do not realize that we are inherently sinful. We think that others lead us into sin and that we are not the ones who are bad.

Even while committing sins, we believe that the only requirement needed to wash ourselves clean again is for sin to be expunged. We keep wiping up after ourselves every time we sin, telling ourselves that it is not our own faults. But the truth is that we are masses of sin, and the sins we commit are just the overflow of the sin already within us.

Who Is Able to Receive Jesus’ Love with Gratitude?

Those who acknowledge that they have committed numerous wrongs.

Consider two individuals, comparable to two glasses filled with dirty liquid. Both glasses are full of sin.

One person looks at himself and admits, “I am a sinful individual.” He then surrenders and seeks assistance from someone who can aid him.

However, the other person believes that he is not truly wicked. He is unable to see the weight of sin within him and assumes that he is not as sinful.

Throughout his life, he continues to clean up spills. He wipes one side, then the other… quickly moving to the next side…

Many individuals live their lives cautiously, attempting to minimize sin to avoid spilling it over. However, since they still have sin in their hearts, what good does it accomplish?

Being cautious will not bring them closer to heaven. Being cautious puts them on the path to hell instead. Dear friends, being cautious only leads to hell. We must take this lesson to heart.

When people are cautious, their sins may not spill over as much, but they are still sinners.

What Resides in The Heart of Humanity?

Sin? Immorality? Yes! Evil thoughts? Yes! Is there theft? Yes! Arrogance? Yes!

We must admit that we are masses of sin, particularly when we see ourselves committing sinful and wicked deeds without being taught to do so.

It may not be as noticeable when we are young, but as we grow older and attend high school, college, and beyond, we come to understand that all we have inside us is sin. Isn’t this true?

To be honest, we cannot conceal our sinful nature. We cannot help but to spill sin, and then regret, “I shouldn’t have done that.”

However, it is impossible for us to truly change. Why? Because each of us is born as a mass of sin. We cannot become pure by simply being cautious.

What we must recognize is that we are born as masses of sin so that we may be completely redeemed. Only sinners who thankfully accept the redemption provided by Jesus can be saved.

Those who believe, “I haven’t committed many wrongs or sinned very much,” do not accept that Jesus has taken away all their sins and that they are destined for hell.

We must understand that each of us has this mass of sin inside us because we were all born with it. Revered Paul C. Expounds on the nature of sin in human beings here.

We Are Born with Twelve Types of Sin

Jesus said that it is the sins within a person that defile them, not the unclean food that God provides. All of God’s creations are pure, but only the sins that come out of us make us impure. As descendants of Adam, we are born with twelve types of sin.

Can we live without sinning? No, because we are born with sin, and it is impossible to stop sinning even if we know the Law or try to live by its commandments. In fact, the more we try to follow the Law, the harder it becomes.

Galatians 3:10

“For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.”

Romans 3:20

“Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.”

We must acknowledge our limitations and abandon our previous ways. With a humble attitude, we can accept Jesus’ baptism and blood, which offer salvation.

Although all 613 articles of the Law are good and just, people are sinners from the moment of conception. When we recognize that God’s Law is right but that we are born as sinners who cannot make ourselves righteous, we understand that we require God’s merciful compassion and Jesus’ redemption through the gospel of water, blood, and Spirit.

Once we realize our limitations and acknowledge that we cannot become righteous on our own and that we will face eternal punishment for our sins, we have no choice but to rely on Jesus’ redemption.

It’s Impossible to Become Righteous Before God Through Our Own Efforts

Because of our sinful nature, it is impossible for us to become righteous before God through our own efforts. Even if we refrain from committing sinful acts, the sinful thoughts and desires within our minds are still present.

To claim that we are righteous on our own is to live in hypocrisy. Jesus himself referred to the Pharisees and scribes as “hypocritical” in Matthew 23:23.

As sinners, we inevitably commit sins throughout our lives. Anyone who claims to have lived a completely sinless life is deceiving themselves and others.

Matthew 5:21,22

“You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘You shall not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’ But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, ‘Raca,’ is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.”

Matthew 5:27,28

“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”

It is not possible for humans to be born without sin and to live without sin. Thus, claiming to be sinless is a lie, and such a person is a sinner and a hypocrite in the eyes of God.

So, what is the solution to our destiny as sinners? We must humbly seek God’s compassion and rely on Him for our salvation from sin. Without His salvation, we are destined for hell.

This is why it is essential to acknowledge our sins and accept God’s Word with faith in order to become righteous. Only then can we be saved from our sins and receive eternal life.
