What I Learned Publishing 5 Technical Blogs in 7 Days on Medium

Last week, I set a personal challenge: publish 5 real-world, high-value technical blogs on Medium in 7 days. Not for virality. Not for vanity metrics. Just to see how far authentic value can go when paired with good structure and consistent effort.

Here’s what I did — and what I learned.

✅ I Picked One Niche — and Went Deep

No mixing of topics. Just one: Linux security and real-world automation.
Because:

  • I’ve been working in this space for 10+ years.
  • I had real examples, logs, errors, and scripts.
  • I knew what problems other admins or security analysts face.

And guess what? People can tell when you’ve lived the topic.

🧩 I Focused on Problems, Not Stories

The blog titles weren’t poetic. They were specific:

  • How I Rebuilt a Linux Server After a Suspected Compromise (Step-by-Step)
  • Using Fail2Ban to Block Real Attacks on My Ubuntu Server
  • 6 Linux Misconfigurations I Regret Not Catching Sooner
