And we’re here for a new concept.
For the ones who follows me on Instagram, I already told you that I was about to prepare something like this. For the others, I will quickly explain the idea behind it. If you’re too lazy to read everything, go directly to the step one title.
Introduction
I’m really interested about the entrepreneurship and business world, and I often buy many books about it, but I don’t find time to read them so I don’t progress much. Recently I bought another few new books (You can see them here) and I asked on my Instagram if some people would be interested if every two or three days, I publish a post about a concept that I read on one of the books that I have. It will allows you to have a quick idea of what the book is about, what are the main concept and have a quickly view about them, just with an Instagram post. It will also force me to read at least a bit everyday to have enough content to talk about in my post, everyone win something.
In addition, I also wanted to make a weekly story here for two main reason :
- First, because I don’t want to make my Instagram’s descriptions too long. Instagram is a visual social media, I can share some micro ideas there, but not much people will read it, and I can’t really well express myself. Also, here, I can go deeper in the thought and better explain you what I read and what I think about that.
- The second reason is to reach more people. Publishing here will help more peole than if I only get stuck on Instagram. The story here are the continuity of what I publish on Instagram. Each content can be consumed separately or together to have a better understanding.
So to resume, every week, I will publish a story (On sunday or Monday, depending on how lazy am I) that will explain few concept that I learned or though about during the week, and you will have in addition my point of view about it.
Enough introduction, let’s start now !
The real introduction
Okay so what we will talk about this week (or the next few minutes for you) ? I started to read a week ago the book “Think and grow rich” by Napoleon Hill. This book present the 13 concepts that use the same “secret idea” (that’s how they call this in the book) that all the most successful people in the world know and used. So today I will talk about the two first ones, that I knew a bit before reading the book, but I could have a better view of how apply them with the book now.
Step 1 : The will power ⚡️
This first step is my favorite one. I can resume it with only one sentence which is my life philosophy since I’m young :
If you want, you can.
The power of the will is simple as this sentence. But it implies many things that we will see now.
First, why many people don’t trust it or think that’s only bullshit ?
If I want I can ? Ok, I want $1.000.000 where are them ?
Obviously it doesn’t work like this. The main things to know about the will power is that you have to make it works. It’s not magical, and if so, it would be too simple. You have to get up and make the sh*t happen. If you want $1.000.000 you can have them, but you have to move for that, you have to do everything is possible to have them. Nothing come by itself, you have to go take it yourself.
So now you get it, you have to move. But that’s not enough. It’s like gym or eat healthy, to use the most commons, people will start to do it few days, they’re motivated, and then, nothing. One of the key of the will power is to be patient. “Rome wasn’t built in a day”, it’s the same for your goals. Bigger they are, more time they will need to be achieved. First you have to be patient, and also keep your motivation and your effort to achieve your goals.
Another main key of this power, mainly underrated, is to never quit. Do you think you will make it at your first try ? All the successful people failed one day, even many times. And that’s why they finally succeed. More important, often, the success come right after a failure, thanks to the failure… You should not be afraid of the failure, you should embrace it.
The failure will make you better and it’s a full part (maybe the most important) in the process. So remember, choose a goal, get up to make it, stay stick to it every day until you make it, even if you fail a tons of times.
Now, before going to run the world, read the second step, it could be helpful.
Step 2 : The faith 🙏🏾
I didn’t paid attention to this before I read it, and make some search about it and how to apply it to be more successful. At the beginning I was a bit perplex, but finally, it make sense if you think a bit about it. No more suspens, let’s go in !
The second step here is to have faith in yourself and you goals. Enough faith to be able to tell yourself that you already made it. Yep, you already have the $1.000.000 you wanted.
Okay I have them. Where is my money so ?
You have it. It’s yours, you know it’s yours, it’s just about time, but in your mind you have them already, just have to go take them (Step one).
No, I don’t try to hypnotize you, but in a way, you will have to make it yourself. The goal here, is to trick your brain, to get in the mood, the feelings, the life, whatever you want, of the person that you want to be when you will achieve your goal. So if you want $1.000.000 tell to yourself aloud “ I can make it and I will have it” everyday. What’s the purpose ? Your brain will understand and assimilate it.
If you still don’t get it, I will give you a simple example, still from the book. Why rich people getting more rich ? Why unlucky people (who think they are unlucky) are still unlucky ? It’s simple, because the good brings the good, and the bad brings the bad. If you think everyday that you’re not able to achieve what you want, you will not be able to make it. But, if everyday, you say that you’re the best, and you will make it, it will finally happen.
The goal here is to put your brain to think that the only solution is that you succeed, and nothing else. You have no more options than achieve all your goals. That’s all. Everyday, you wake up, tell yourself you can and will make it, and do it. That’s all. Nothing more.
