Applications and IT services overview. And other activities from the IT community.

On February 24, Russia again attacked Ukraine’s military objects, civil airports and buildings, and many cities far away from the front and borders. Hot war affects civilians, developers, and IT companies. So I want to describe how Ukrainian developers and IT companies help to defend.

The IT community has helped the government, refugees, and NGOs since Russia occupied part of our land in Crimea and part of the east region eight years ago.

From February 24, the dev community created and supported many applications that help with defending. Also, developers and engineers start to volunteer, help financially and with different resources, goods, and foods, and help evacuate civilians from the most dangerous places.

There are many applications to help record the Russian Federation’s aggression, seek help, and find temporary shelter/housing in cities. Various IT companies and independent IT specialists have developed platforms to search for specialists to help and protect Ukraine. In addition, many owners and site administrators in Ukraine have placed banners with information about supporting the Ukrainian army.

Ukrainian cybersecurity experts also actively participated in the protection of critical infrastructure. In addition, a lot of information about Russian aggression became public, like lists of names of Russian troops that attacked Ukraine.
