dCommerce Meetup #3 — Meet us in the Metaverse

At Boson, we are creating an entirely new decentralized commerce ecosystem that bridges the Metaverse and the real world, taking decentralized commerce (dCommerce) from a vision to a reality. We present our third dCommerce Meetup — Boson Protocol: Building the Future.

Our technology is designed to enable a whole new generation of developers to build an open tokenized economy on top of the Boson Protocol foundational layer. But we cannot do this alone. At the heart of any truly decentralized protocol are the developers, visionaries and community builders who will take an idea and build new capabilities that we haven’t even dreamed of yet.

Our past two dCommerce community meetups generated lots of great conversation and questions — and our last meetup included a visit to Boson’s plot in Decentraland, where we explained why we made this record-breaking purchase.

At Boson Protocol, we are building the future, which is why in our next dCommerce meetup we are not simply visiting a virtual world: we are hosting the whole event in the Metaverse.

Join us in the Metaverse

We’re inviting you to Dark Junction, a unique complex of facilities in Cryptovoxels designed for social, virtual reality and experiential experiments. For this event, we will be turning one of its spaces into our very own temple. Not only will we be streaming our session there, a team from Boson Protocol will also be present for networking and questions inside.

Here is what we have planned for the evening: after a short introduction by Holly Atkinson, our Head of Metaverse Technology, we will be presenting a walkthrough of our first reference app, Leptonite, a digital-physical marketplace which we have built to demonstrate some of the possibilities of how Boson Protocol can be used.

This part of the meetup is suitable for both developers and non-devs. There will be a demonstration of the user flow to show you how to get hands-on with the app, followed by a more technical explanation of the architecture, protocol and smart contracts that power Leptonite.

Inspired to create your own product?

The Leptonite demo will be followed by an introduction to our developer documentation, which we’ve created to help you design and build your own products and marketplaces on top of Boson Protocol.

If you’ve got a cool idea, we’d love to hear about it and consider you for a Boson Protocol Ecosystem Grant.

We recognize that great work needs to be incentivized, and we welcome applications from individuals, companies, teams and research institutions. Grants are available up to US$50,000 per project, and our Head of Strategy, Jonas Seiferth, will talk about how you can get involved and apply for a grant.

Not ready to build something yet, but you’re an awesome community builder, content producer or event organizer? The next part of the meetup is aimed at YOU. Our Head of Community, Alastair Band, will be explaining how you can earn up to $300 per month in $BOSON or $USDT by becoming a Boson Protocol Ambassador. Speaking of questions, we’ll round the evening off with a Q&A session. Our previous Q&As have generated some great questions and discussion, and we’re hoping that mingling with Bosonauts in the Metaverse will make it feel a lot more like an in-person event and spark some interesting conversations and ideas.
