To Arsenal or Not to Arsenal that is the question!

I have been an Arsenal fan since I was 9–10 years old, I felt connected when I watched them not only because of their football but for their diversity in the squad. What I have seen recently has made so angry and upset as to what has happened to my beautiful club. Now is the time for me to have my say about it, I will take snapshots of Arsenal for the last five years as an example of poor management and leadership of the club.

Five Year Snapshot (source premierleague.com)

Ok, the above table is just a quick snapshot of Arsenal’s performance over the last 5 years. As you can see the poor inconsistent performances over the last 5 years. Even though we had Arsène Wenger in charge for two of those years you can still see the performance decline. Why?

Our managers over the last 5 years

2020/21 Mikel Arteta

2019/20 Unai Emery, Fredrik Ljungberg & Mikel Arteta

2018/19 Unai Emery

2017/18 Arsène Wenger

2016/17 Arsène Wenger

The consistent problem Arsenal have had over the last 5 years is the management and leadership. You can see how inexperienced rich businessmen who have no idea about running a football club with no desire to compete for trophies, no passion for the club, no passion for the fans you can see the decline in club performance. Stanley Kroenke & Josh Kroenke, have no desire to improve the club, they think by spending approximately £130 million (2021) on players who are rarely featuring in the first team!

We are putting some many players out on loan because we can’t sell them, that is poor management and leadership. It will make no difference what manager gets appointed to Arsenal Football Club (FC), if the leadership is in chaos and have no clear direction as to where the club is going, what do you expect a manager to do?

If any football club is expected to be successful you have to always look from top to bottom, who is leading the club and how involved are they in making it an actually success. When was the last time you as an Arsenal fan saw Stanley Kroenke at a game or give a live interview about the club???

Look at Leicester City FC owners how involved they are within the club and how they appreciate their staff and football players. I don’t see this from Arsenal, why because the Kroenke’s don’t care and they have done nothing to make me or other fans think differently.

One last thing, what is the deal with the injuries being sustained to our players in the club? Surely as an owner you would be concerned by this and first thing is to address it to keep players off the bench.

If you don’t want to support the club you own then sell it to someone that does!
