Scatter Wallet Makes Token Organization Easy! — Steemit

I think the majority of people will agree: Cryptocurrency is intimidating. The first thing most people struggle with is understanding how it is created and why it exists. Once you move past that, you are then introduced to other “heavy” concepts such as tokens, transactions, smart contracts, private keys, and public keys.

Interacting with a blockchain like EOS can seem like it takes a degree in higher mathematics to accomplish anything.

More than just a wallet, Scatter connects you to many of the top/emerging blockchains and networks. Confusing transactions with dapps become a thing of the past thanks to the easy to use interface that Scatter offers.

Dapps can be launched from right within the Scatter application removing the need for bookmarks or memorizing difficult web addresses.

While the majority of the dapps that Scatter can connect you to are on the EOS network, it also supports the Ethereum, Tron, Telos, and WORBLI networks.

One of the most exciting features of Scatter is a solution they call “bridge”. Bridge tackles one of the biggest issues with mass adoption of cryptocurrencies: accessibility. Many traditional users have the desire to use dapps, but not the appropriate wallet or skill set to do so.

With bridge, they can login with a traditional account (phone number, email address, social account) and still enjoy the benefits of using the dapp. Scatter creates a custodial account on the blockchain that allows this interaction to happen. Your bridge account is global and works on all Scatter connected dapps, not just a single/specific one.

The majority of bridge accounts allow the user to control one key while Scatter controls the other key. The idea of bridge is to be a temporary connector until you feel comfortable enough to create your own Scatter account.

Current events have made it quite clear that traditional accounts are subject to hacking and breaches. Keeping that in mind, bridge has limitations on spending and holding, this ensures your funds cannot be wiped out should your social media or email login be compromised.

Scatter is open-source benefitting both developers and end users alike with constant updates and innovations.

There are six key features that make Scatter one of the top wallet dapps of 2019:

At this time, Scatter is only available for the Windows, MacOS, and Linux operating systems. There is a Scatter browser extension out there, but I am told it has been deprecated. I encourage you to avoid the extension or cease using it, there are many newer dapps that will only work with the updated desktop version.

I would venture a guess that a large number of users who interact with the EOS blockchain probably have used or are currently using Scatter. It is simply the best, most well recognized tool for making transactions on that blockchain. It surprises me that it is currently ranked at #905 over-all on State of the Dapps, especially given the solid roadmap they have and their ever-improving product.

My biggest issue with Scatter is the lack of a mobile app (aside from “bridge”), and that is the main reason I feel I can only give it four stars instead of five.

What are you waiting for? Download Scatter and see how easy it can be to manage your assets and make transactions.
