Crypto is the new black. How models and bulldogs take over the ICO market.

Yet another decentralized autonomous ICO project was launched with the objective of legalization, and attracted a massive amount of attention. Why? Because of Miss Iowa 2014.

If you think that beauty contests are complete BS, the Paragon project might change your mind. Miss Iowa 2014 and Miss Georgia 2015 are teaming up to launch a new ICO. Their ambition? To legalize marijuana.

Paragon Coin was advertised as a “CEO Supermodel ICO”, which encouraged people to click on and view the webpage to improve the website’s conversion. Jessica Versteeg (Miss Iowa 2014) and Kayla Booth (Miss Georgia 2015) were featured on the team page in the company of Priscilla — the cutest French bulldog.

Initial Coin Offerings became one of the most popular methods of crowdfunding. Creators and teams are trying to make their product stand out by directly competing with other projects in the crypto-sphere, and by drawing from the website features of the most successful campaigns. To get ahead in the current market, crypto-creators leave no stone unturned in their research, analysing everything from website content, to particles, to featured advisors, to social media channels listed in the footer.

But why does blockchain remain so displeasing to the eye? For inspiration, we turned to Greek philosophy. Ancient Greek philosophers belonged to a school of thought that believed that aesthetically unappealing objects are beautiful in and of themselves. For instance, Plato felt that beautiful objects are so because they incorporate proportion, harmony, and unity among their parts.

From an aesthetics point of view, the blockchain industry seems to be a pretty boring place, and it drives us nuts! We are constantly trying to find ways to improve its ease on the eye. We metaphorically compared blockchain to moving fractals (not without a little help from drug paraphernalia), and we made fun of blockchain by throwing a casting couch.

We were waiting for too long, all fed up with ugly pictures and allegories. We even came across an article titled, “The most beautiful Bitcoin visualizations”. They have got to be kidding. Really. That was the final straw for us. So, we, the Botanico team, aim to create a blockchain project more attractive and extraordinary than ever, using brand ambassadors to catch the attention of potential investors. The so-called Initial Model Offering works as a model agency in the blockchain industry.

Think Victoria’s Secret Angels. Those models are the definition of brand ambassadors, who are building the company’s identity in their unique and vibrant image. So, why not use this strategy for ICO campaigns? As the number of blockchain projects increases exponentially, we are bringing the new “Victoria’s Secret Angels” to the market of decentralized technology.
