Fake “BOX” Deceives Money from Investors through Bounty Program
Last week, BOX Foundation encountered a scam project named exactly the same as “BOX” using its own bounty program to deceive investors.
After looking into this issue, we eventually found out that the fake “BOX” project created an airdrop in order to attract investors to their telegram group. Those investors were told that they would be able to trade the collected tokens in various cryptocurrency exchanges.
However, the truth turned out to be that investors cannot trade airdrop tokens at all. Therefore, they searched CoinMarketCap, one of the leading cryptocurrency explorers in the globe, for our information and got into our real BOX telegram group.
Soon, BOX Foundation released an official announcement on Twitter to clarify that BOX has never conducted any airdrops and warned those investors to stop believing scams and also prevent them from fraud again.
