Machine Learning in Social Media Marketing.
Machine learning is the science of getting computers to act without being explicitly programmed. In the past decade, machine learning has given us self-driving cars, practical speech recognition, effective web search, and a vastly improved understanding of the human genome. Machine learning is so pervasive today that you probably use it dozens of times a day without knowing it. Many researchers also think it is the best way to make progress towards human-level AI.
I’m seeing a lot of new startups pushing their way into the domain of social media marketing. As the domain matures, I predict more and more social media marketing startups will be using machine learning, data mining, and statistical pattern recognition to attain customers and grow their brand.
Companies spends millions of dollars in effective marketing to target the right audience. As of right now, companies are dependent on human intelligence to grow their sales. But, not too long from now we will be looking at a scenario, where businesses will no longer require those expert social media marketing guys to consult them on how they should present their product or service, or where the market is heading.
Marketing is a must.
No matter how good your product or service is. If you’re not reaching out to your potential customers, then it’s like sitting in a dark room with no sign board. Currently, we have different tools to monitor users and understand how we can better improve their experience.
What if? Everything is learned from user continuous engagement on the product and implemented to get more targeted followers, engagement and results on different social media platform.
In comes, the Artificial Intelligence. Now, I’m not saying companies are not using it. The surface just isn’t scratched enough to be called everyone cup of tea. We are not far away from a future where all the clicks, scrolls, queries, engagement are observed and relevant content are posted to target the right audience.
The Bigger Picture is something we are not ready for yet. Sometime you just need to wait for the market to better evolve before thinking ahead of time.
They will no longer have to outsource a team to understand their customer’s interest. And less effort on their social media profile to post content or create campaign that suits their company profile.
One thing is certain, the nature of content that companies are going to post on their social media profile will be all related to the user engagement learned with the help of Machine Learning.
That Bigger Picture IS NOT TOO FAR AWAY!
