Thinking Ahead of Time

“Not enough people know about the created product. The people who know about it don’t understand the product. The people who understand it, don’t want it.”

Sometime that Billion Dollar idea isn’t ready for this World. Sometime you just need to wait for the market to better evolve before you build your product.

I recently started my own startup in Hyderabad, India, The Valley Coworking. The concept is not much popular in the city. The Valley Coworking is what its name suggests. Yup, It’s a coworking space.

People who have been really keeping an eye on tech blogs knows how some of the companies grew out of coworking space. The Entrepreneurs of Hyderabad do not reflect much on how the environment is really important for startups to be more productive. I think if we spend some time on the internet, we would all get some notes on how coworking can be really helpful for startups and freelancers.

To simply begin with, The idea of coworking has much to do with networking and helping out other. But, here’s the catch, The people of Hyderabad are just unaware of this whole new concept. The people who understand it don’t find it convincing enough. They are always open to other options, coffee shop, shared desks.

Coworking Space is not about Space, it’s about people. I’ve seen many people relating coworking space with an office space solution. I have seen many people just calling there spaces as “coworking” without understanding the true meaning of it. There is probably a very thin line of difference between low cost business centre, shared office and coworking. However, CoWorking surely is a space which allows you to work and share information in a collaborative environment and in some ways everyone thinks about a long term impact and are catalysers for solving a big problem. Coworking space is about having diversity in its members as well as companies working in order to allow those collaborations.

This whole idea of coworking is new to the city of Hyderabad. There will be a lot of teaching to do before anyone really consider joining. That’s why many of the startup fails. Many of the founders release their product thinking it’s something totally new not realizing the market and it’s potential.

I think we all need to do a better market research before we actually ship a product. We need to make sure that a community is already in existence to accept a product we plan to build.
