Boysterous Presents: A Boysterous Blending Event
July 16th & 17th 2–6p EST
If you know Boysterous, then you know we love a good party! But of course, we’re just getting to know each other and you may not appreciate our penchant for entertaining and accommodating (yet). So say less, because you’re about to find out. We are excited to announce that the first two-day NFT blending event for Boysterous’ Blockchain Bubble will be held on NeftyBlocks on Friday, July 16th & Saturday, July 17th beginning at 2p EST and ending at 6p EST for both respective days.
Here are a couple of questions that you may have- we’re going to try to provide the answers as best as we can: What is blending? What NFTs will I need to participate in the blending event? What will a two-day blending event look like? What happens to my NFTs once they are blended? What will I receive for blending my NFTs? What if I don’t have all of the NFTs necessary to participate in the event?
What is blending?
Blending is the process of utilizing one or more NFTs to blend/burn to create a newly minted, and potentially more scarce NFT.
What NFTs will I need to participate in the blending event?
For the coming blending event on Friday, July 16th, you will need:
- 4 Bronze Variants of the Alligator X Pack Showcase NFT
- 16 Alligator X Pack Sticker’s
For the event on Saturday, July 17th, you will need:
- 1 Platinum Variant of the Alligator X Pack Showcase NFT
- 1 Gold Variant of the Alligator X Pack Showcase NFT
What will a two-day blending event look like?
The first day, July 16th, starting at 2p EST, you will be able to begin your participation in the first part of the Boysterous Blending Event. There will be a link provided through our Twitter, Discord and fashionnonfungible.com that will bring you to our exclusive event on NeftyBlocks. Once in the ballroom, you will be have the opportunity to blend/burn the required NFTs to participate in the show. You will have 4 hours to do so once the doors open. Once the event has ended, you will have 20 hours to decide what you would like to do with your newly minted Platinum Alligator X Pack Showcase NFT, and if you decide that you want to participate in day two of the event, you will need to make sure to have your hands on the Gold variant of the Alligator X Pack Showcase NFT as well. A day should give you time to do so. And then on day two, Saturday, July 17th at 2p EST, the doors will once more open and accept those that bear both the Platinum & Gold Variants of the Alligator X Pack Showcase NFT. You will then have 4 hours to blend/burn your Platinum and Gold variants to upgrade once again to a newly minted NFT.
Please note: that in an effort to make distribution and access to the newly minted NFTs as fair as possible, we will distribute “placeholder” NFTs to the wallets that participated in the event until the end of the event. These placeholders will be watermarked versions of the NFTs that you will be receiving after the event has ended. It is important to note that these watermarked NFTs will be non-transferrable. Once the event has ended, the newly minted/blended NFTs will be counted and distributed randomly to the wallets that hold the watermarked version of the blended NFT, this process will act much like a pre-mint distribution. These newly minted blends will then replace the watermarked NFTs and will be transferrable thereafter.
What happens to my NFTs once they are blended?
The NFTs that are blended are taken out of circulation, thus equipping the remaining NFTs of the same caliber, that have not been blended, with more scarcity. Once an NFT is blended/burned, it can no longer be staked, sold, transferred, or traded. It becomes relinquished.
What will I receive for blending my NFTs?
In general, there are usually perks to blending your NFTs if the project involved is hosting a blending event. You will likely receive an upgraded or new NFT to replace the NFTs that are being relinquished.
For this particular Boysterous Blending Event, you will receive:
- Day 1: 4 Bronze AXP Showcase + 16 AXP Stickers = 1 Platinum AXP Showcase
- Day 2: 1 Platinum AXP Showcase + 1 Gold AXP Showcase = 1 Gold Alligator Wallet Showcase
See what we did there? After participating in the two-day Boysterous Blending Event, those that had all of the ingredients, and used them, were upgraded with a newly minted, Gold variant of the Alligator Wallet Showcase NFT. Now, why would you want the Gold Alligator Wallet Showcase? Another great question! First, we anticipate that the minted NFTs of the Gold variant of the Alligator Wallet Showcase will be quite scarce and desirable, as there is already a very limited supply of the Gold AXP Showcase NFTs. Second, and most importantly, we will be doing a random draw 24 hours after the end of the second part of the event among the holders of the Gold Alligator Wallet Showcase, and the lucky wallet to win that draw will be dropped a 1/1 Diamond variant of the Alligator Wallet Showcase. The person that is in possession of the 1/1 Diamond Alligator Wallet Showcase will have the opportunity to redeem the physical version of the wallet!* We love it.
Now, while we are on the topic of physical redemption, be on the lookout for our coming Medium article that will outline the process of redeeming our physical NFTs. It will be an important article of reference once published, as the road to redemption is paved with a few important steps.
What if I don’t have all of the NFTs to participate in the event?
Well, unfortunately, if you do not hold the necessary NFTs that are required to participate in the blending event, you will be ineligible to participate. However, you are welcome to participate as a spectator and begin preparing your wallet for future events. Because this certainly will not be the last of its kind. We hope to host multiple events a month and look forward to putting those Boysterous NFTs to use alongside sending out our physical designs, backed by the blockchain, to our incredible community of supporters throughout the world.
