A perfect use case now for ephemeral tweets….
This morning the Starbucks app has been down and users are getting logged out and can’t order → https://twitter.com/search?f=tweets&vertical=default&q=starbucks%20app%20down
The official Starbucks Twitter account has acknowledged the issue but only via select at replies (so it doesn’t appear on the Tweets tab). They also don’t have a support account. I imagine they don’t post the known outage because they don’t want the tweet to appear on their account. Many brands are like this. However, I think with ephemeral tweets they would be willing to address the problem because the Tweet would fall off.
