I think another explanation for some of the comments could be a distrust towards Marketing.

I would elaborate that most of the negative feedback received for the advertisement is not directed at Anchalee, but at the directors of the campaign itself. While Anchalee was — likely — entirely innocent, the directors of the campaign most likely selected her for the campaign because she is an attractive woman. This is all a result of a deeply ingrained sexism in our society. The man in the ad for Dice was clearly selected because he was not an attractive man, and the directors of the campaign were aware that the campaign would be humorous, while Anchalee was — likely — selected for her sex appeal to catch the attention of passersby. It is a great shame that Anchalee has received negative feedback for what was never her intention.
