For the Girls Gone Too Soon
“All Dawgs go to Heaven,
But the best go first.”
Darlings, close your eyes,
You have done what
You were meant to do.
You have fought the good fight.
Listen to the trees, the birds, and the sky –
They cry with us.
The world will never be the same
We will never be the same.
We sing a soft praise for you,
Your young, brilliant lives.
Your memory will never slip
Through our fingers.
We will remember you,
Because you are family.
We are one and you
Are with us,
Always.
Prayers and thoughts for the families and friends of the four girls who passed from this Earth abruptly last night, all of whom attended the University of Georgia.
