I don’t think you should have included the Surface Studio in the group at all.

Thanks for the feedback! I included the Surface Studio because I also wanted to point out areas where the Surface Studio could improve — even when comparing to it’s mobile-based siblings. Mainly the price, hybrid hard drive and inclusion of a mobile GPU. The lack of a non-mobile GPU and the hybrid hard drive, could make someone opt for the much cheaper Surface Book with Performance Base instead.

It is never going to be a fair comparison across the board, because the refresh of Surface Book isn’t on the same timeframe as the Surface Pro. The Surface Book with Performance Base with an updated GPU and Kaby Lake processor would be hard to beat — even for the Surface Studio! Now that changes if the Surface Studio adds a classic SSD and desktop GPU.
