An open letter to the guy who figured out what’s wrong with my newspaper
Dan Horn

Good for you Dan. I know almost nothing about your paper or Cincinnati, but I do know what it’s like to be publicly judged by someone who thinks because they know 1% of your experience, they know everything they need to know and are therefore qualified to pass judgement.

I mourn for your paper as I mourn for daily newspapers all across this nation. Those that remain represent the remnants of great journalism in this country and on that day the last printing press stops rolling, we will have lost our best defense of the freedom we are clinging to.

Yes, we are losing newspapers and great journalists, but it is not because they don’t know what they’re doing and it certainly is not because they don’t care.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
