Apple last released iOS 14.4 near the end of January, but iOS 14.5 is well on its way soon. The update will likely launch to compatible devices in late February/early March 2021.

iOS 14.4 came with a few cool new features, such as smaller QR code recognition by iPhone cameras and other important security features. One of the most anticipated upcoming features for iOS 14.5 is the ability to unlock your iPhone with Apple Watch — a feature that has been available on macOS for several years but has yet to hit iPhone since it wasn’t convenient until mask-wearing became an issue for users who have Face ID.

The Apple Watch-iPhone unlock feature was announced alongside the first developer beta for iOS 14.5, which was released last week. Beta 2 offers several new changes, such as new emojis and Apple Music gestures.

Here’s what’s new.
