Having Faith in Your Art

Incredible piece!

I love that you start out by saying this piece will leave you with more questions. It’s my belief that when God’s hand is on something it will bring forth questions and cause this internal wrestling match.

I also love the bit about excellence. So often so many people do so many things and as they do what they do, they lack excellence. It is my belief we should strive for excellence in all that we do.

The bit of this I find myself wrestling with is the bit about not being a Christian writer but a writer who is Christian.

I get it. I’m not certain that is what Christ would say for you to do if you were to have a literal face to face convo with him. I don’t say that out of condemnation or anything. That’s coming from a place of internally wrestling.

I think about the rich young ruler and Jesus told him to give all that he had to the poor and follow him. Is it possible to fulfill that mantra and have the thing that God is calling you to do as a side piece.

I don’t know. I think it could be spun in a manner that it is possible but I don’t know. I think the biggest issue with western Christianity is we make Christ a side piece and a small portion when according to scripture He should be more.

Again I don’t say these things out of judgement. It’s just my hearts honest reflection. I love the piece! Very thought provoking! Looking forward to future reads! Blessings to you!
