As a former city planner who struggles to provide a “middle class” quality of life for my family on a public sector salary, your salient observations strike a chord. We welcome you and your ideals/agenda here in Santa Cruz; though I suspect that one of the only reasons prices are lower here than in the valley is due to the shabby condition of our housing stock. Will you be seeking appointment to our planning commission here?
