The only thing “not okay” here is being overweight. It’s unhealthy to be overweight and the term “fat shaming” was invented by fat people to remove responsibility from themselves.

If being called fat when you *are* fat offends you, then take a long look in the mirror and do something about it; it’s not “genetic” and you’re not “big boned”; you just eat too much and/or don’t do enough exercise.

Anyone saying that they are “choosing to be fat” or “don’t care” are quite simply lying. It makes moving and breathing more difficult, buying clothes becomes embarrassing, and I should think you start to become quite self conscious.

It should be no more socially accepted for someone to become addicted to food and lack of exercise than something like heroine. Both are bad for you.

I’m vegan BTW.
