My essay for “Frozen (2013)”
Although sometimes in our hearts lies a deep freeze,
it always can be thawed by an act of true love.
This story is about two sisters, actually two Princess of Arendelle.
One of them is Princess Elsa that is capable to produce and manipulate ice, frost and snow,
everything related to cold things just by imagination and wishes of her mind.
One night while playing, she accidentally injures her younger sister, Princess Anna.
Their shocked parents, the King and the Queen, seek help from the troll King
to heal Anna from the cold inside her. The troll King heals her and removes her memories of Elsa’s magic
but leaves all happy moments that doesn’t refer to the ice power.
Everybody decides to isolate Anna in their castle until Elsa learns to control her abilities.
Afraid of hurting Anna again, Elsa spends most of her time alone, refusing even any speaking with Anna.
When the girls are teenagers, their parents die at sea during a storm …
The kingdom prepares for her coronation due to Elsa comes of age. There is an accident during the castle’s party …
The sisters argue and then Elsa throws out her abilities to control the ice … Everyone does shock.
Elsa in a panic leaves the castle, while without knowing it brings to the kingdom an eternal and a deep deep deep winter.
She hiding herself among mountains in an ice palace that is built by her power.
Meanwhile, Anna leaves Hans that is Prince of the Southern Isles and
beloved by Anna (yeah, they fell in love at first sight and immediately wanted to plan an engagement ceremony.
This is one of the reason of the Elsa’s panic) and starts searching of her sister.
She wants to return her to the Arendelle, end the winter and rearrange their relationship.
During the climbing Anna, teams up with a mountain man named Kristoff,
his playful reindeer named Sven and a snowman
named Olaf (Anna and Elsa’s childhood snowman whom recreated and unknowingly brought to life).
Olaf helps them to find an Elsa’s location to change the weather condition.
Anna and Elsa reunite but for some reasons (the details are omitted) Elsa hurts her sisters directly in the heart.
Elsa forces Anna, Kristoff, Sven and Olaf to leave by a giant alive snow creature. Anna becomes bleached and
they seek some help from the trolls (that are kinda family for Kristoff). The same King of trolls (from the childhood)
explain that only an act of true love can save her and nothing else. Believing that only Hans can save her
with a true love’s kiss, Kristoff rushes back with her to the Arendelle.
Meanwhile, Hans catches Elsa and closes her in a prison. Then when Anna reunites with Hans and tries to get
a true love kiss from him, Hans refuses her because the only thing that interesting for him is the Arendelle’s throne.
Elsa escapes … Olaf comes across Anna and make her aware that Kristoff is in love with her.
… Kristoff and Anna give a chance to locate each other. Nevertheless, Anna, seeing that Hans is about to kill Elsa,
then Anna saves Elsa by blocking Hans’ attack. Everybody are dissapointed, … Elsa hugs her sister and
that’s the real act of true love and Anna begins to thaw.
After that Elsa knows that love is the key idea to control her powers. And all goes well.
In the end of the story Anna and Kristoff share a first kiss 💙💙💙
People, find your love and you will not feel yourself frozen.
