Short History About German Language
Introduction to the language
The German language is one of the most common languages spoken in central Europe. Austria, Germany, Switzerland, German-speaking Community of Belgium, Liechtenstein are the countries which have German as their major language. And also comprises the three official languages of Luxembourg. German is quite similar to Yiddish, Luxembourgish, Lower German, Afrikaans, Dutch, German is the most widespread language Germanic languages and is spoken by 95 million people. Being a language of the European Union too. German has different dialects being a part of Indo-European language family.
Brief History
It is a part of the Germanic language which is basically West Germanic for the majority of it, Germanic languages are divided into North, East and West Germanic. Some part of it exists in Faroese, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, and Icelandic out of which all of them have descended from Old Norse. While most of the East Germanic languages are extinct. With the only historic remnant being gothic and the remnants of Germanic being English, Danish, the German language is pretty complex when it comes to its lineage and usage because it has different accents.
Types of languages
There are at least multiple offshoots of German, Afrikaans, Dutch, Lower German, Dutch and various other languages, it owes resemblances with Saxon languages due to its random colonization and various other nuances. With divisions being, Old High German, Low German, Consonant shifted German which is modern German which includes languages of old Norse, the languages has severe spread of dialects from one region to another and has heavily emphasized undertones of the surrounding languages due to mix with other lingos garnering few of the stretches which encapsulate the pronunciations.

The inclusion of Germanic-speaking countries including Germany are Switzerland, Belgium, Some parts of Italy and other countries which were previously of German colonization had it impacts later on native African languages, North Africa like Ghana has German-influenced languages which shows in the accents while for most of it Afrikaans is also inspired a whole lot from it being the Boers language. The slight mix is a sign of accepting it partially for the sake of understanding and other subtleties. Making it quite an eclectic mix over time to be a better language in terms of others.
Famous Dialects
When it comes to dialects the German dialect is spread of High German consonant shift and it comprises upper German, Central German, and Lower German subgroup and Standard German being a Standardized form of Higher German.
