I’ve been wondering constantly as the best ways to utilize all the additional time I have, now that we are in lockdown mode. I get bouts of inspiration about all these amazing things I could be doing each one more interesting than the last. Yet the high lasts for a while and then I go back to binging The Office again. I considered taking up side projects at work to better utilize my time but that might be a disastrous idea because since I’ve been working from home the boundaries between work and personal life are already blurry and this will make it one blobby mess.
So, for the last couple of days, I’ve been trying to organize my thoughts and ideas on what I could potentially do with all the free time I have in my mind. But ideas just remain just ideas and just beyond our reach if we don’t have an action plan to put them in motion. So I decided to add a couple of key habit-forming techniques into the mix — boiling the habit down to one simple action, habit stacking, and tracking the habit and making sure I don’t break the chain.
