We’re still here!

The new year is well under way, and so are things here at Branche. While our ICO in December taught us a lot, it didn’t generate the level of funds needed to grow our team and kick development into high-gear. As a result we have been forced to resort to plan A! heheh
Even the cave troll (Simeon) has been pulled into the open air as we switch gears to pursue more traditional avenues of seed funding.

Our days have mostly comprised of building our investor pitch, dev planning, research, and meeting with experienced Ottawa entrepreneurs to refine everything. That, and of course simply trying to survive these harsh Canadian winters!

This week we finished the migration of the Branche website to new service providers and finalized the plans for the token generation part of the ICO. Any login/user issues experienced over February should be all cleared up now. Ethereum has been moving forward by leaps and bounds, and the environment is finally ready for us to move a huge chunk of our core functionality into smart contracts. There are many exciting ideas we can finally test out, and just as much (maybe less exciting) refactoring to be done to the prototype.

For those of you who have been wondering what happens next in our ICO, we have some answers for you. Token generation is still coming, do not think we have forgotten about you fine folks who supported us before anyone else. The rough idea is to release a standard ERC20 token where you can withdraw your BLT to the same address as the deposits came from. As soon as we have some seed funding is in the door, one of our first goals is to load the value of the contract so that BLT holders can consume their tokens and withdraw their Ether.

Lastly, and perhaps least importantly, Simeon has gotten Logan to start working out!
Due to knee and back injuries (and the resulting habit changes), Logan hadn’t been to a gym in more than 3 years. Thankfully though, with Simeon’s constant mockery and pestering, they’ve both been going 3 times a week for the past month and it seems to be going well.
Of course, since they’re both weirdo’s, they had to mess with their fellow gym goers, so one saturday they decided to go in their onesies. You read correctly: onesies! It was thoroughly entertaining.

Here is the photographic proof that yes indeed, they DO make onesies that big!

As always, we are always happy to answer any questions you may have.
