I closed a credit card with a limit of less than $2,000 and an outrageous 23.99% interest rate. I have plenty of other lines of credit (that also happen to be older and larger) with much, much better rates. So, I’m not concerned about the impact on my credit score. I think I signed up for this card to buy a computer four years ago, but then I returned the computer almost immediately. The card has never been touched since. Anyhow, now it’s closed and I’m claiming that as my victory for the week. Well, that and filing my FAFSA for graduate school.
