Who Are You, Max Baumgarten?
The most common project ideas I have revolve around figuring how to surface top talent. Music, acting, sports, etc. Until something like that comes to fruition, blog posts will have to suffice.
This is Max Baumgarten. You may recognize him from that BuzzFeed video about men and kittens. He’s the mustachioed gentleman who has one of those faces that begs to be on a video still, as made evident by four of five videos on this page.
I’ve stalked this guy for the past two hours, and what I’ve discovered is:
a) the mustache, which seems so critical to this personality, is relatively new (i think)
b) his reel (on his site under the link “Max is Reel”) is outdated ☹
c) his resume still has his personal email and phone number on it
d) this guy can make it
Wyoma Films is a YouTube channel that put out that video above. They also created The Hipster Games, which accounts for two-thirds of his credits on IMDB. I’m not sure the relationship there, but I also don’t care. I’m not actually stalking this guy, jesus.
Just watch him read the missed connection from Burning Man (above). Or any of the videos below. I’d love to see him go a similar route as Adam Lisagor from Sandwich Video. Adam may have gotten into that role by accident, but he is killing it regardless. Come to think of it, I wonder if Adam needs another actor…
