Does the new healthcare bill “remove coverage”?

I’ll indulge this person despite their generally rude demeanor.

Here is a link to the bill in question.

Here is a report from the Congressional Budget Office & a Joint Committee on Taxation. It says 14 million (24,000,000) people will loose coverage as a result of this bill (And that’s only in the first two years).

CBO and JCT estimate that, in 2018, 14 million more people would be uninsured under the legislation than under current law

It removes coverage mainly by reducing funding for medicaid (healthcare for the poor) as well as subsidies for the healthcare market (which makes rates more affordable).

Not only does it remove coverage, it affects those who need it most (aka the poor who can’t afford to just pay for major costs upfront).
