In my search for reputable sources on ancient technologies, I have come across many credible and highly educated individuals with knowledge that isn’t widely spoken about in the mainstream.

In one such case, welcome Chris Dunn, who has been on PAX Television, the Travel Channel, Discovery Channel, The Learning Channel, Lifetime Television and most recently on the History Channel in the Ancient Alien episode “The Evidence”.

He has extensive background as a craftsman, starting his career as an indentured apprentice in his hometown of Manchester, England. Recruited by an aerospace manufacturing company, he immigrated to the United States in 1969. Over the past 49 years, Chris has worked at every level of high-tech manufacturing from machinist, toolmaker, programmer and operator of high-power industrial lasers, Project Engineer and Laser Operations Manager. For the past 16 year, he has served as Human Resource Director for a Midwest aerospace manufacturer.

What is so important about Chris? He has conducted extensive research on Egypt, how the pyramids were built and why. Not only are the pyramids his cup of tea, he has also taken a lot of interest in a few ancient statues dating back to when the pyramids were built. These statues are as wondrous and as incredibly constructed as the pyramids.

Brandon Ellis: Regarding the Ramses statues at Luxor and Memphis, Egypt, you’ve found that they are perfectly symmetrical. Can you explain exactly what that means so people can get an understanding how difficult it would be to create those statues today?

Chris Dunn: To be more precise, I noted an extraordinary level of precision and symmetry on the head of the statue. However, I would not invoke the terms 100% or perfect as these imply a level of examination that has yet to be employed. The tools I used, while much more advanced than what was available when I first visited Egypt in 1986, are not as advanced as what is now available to manufacturers, engineers and architects, such as 3-D optical scanning and analysis hardware and software. I also noted in my book, Lost Technologies of Ancient Egypt, that there appears to have been a method where that contoured surfaces were machined and other features, such as the eyelids and the sharply defined lips appear to have been finished using a different tool and method, such as hand tools.

BE: What types of machines do we use now to create this type of perfection?

CD: If we assume that the contoured surfaces have similar precision to other less complex surfaces I have measured in Egypt, I would select a 5-axis Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine that uses an ultrasonically driven tool bit. Before the advent of CNC, models and tracing equipment on milling machines would have had to suffice. Before that, I doubt it could be done.

BE: Has anyone in history ever carved something so perfectly?

CD: I don’t know of any hand carved statues that display such precision and symmetry.

BE: You’ve found sacred geometry all throughout the way they designed and carved the statues?

CD: The Golden Section, used to create the Golden Rectangle and Triangle is implied within the features of the face. The Flower of Life, a sacred Egyptian symbol, also finds correspondences in the spacing of the mouth, eyes and nose.

BE: Have you found any other statues with symmetry similar or as exact as the Ramses statues?

CD: There are other statues that have the appearance of similar symmetry, but I have only given cursory attention to these.

BE: Were those statues carved out of rock or were they delivered from a rock quarry? If delivered, how did they possibly move such large tonnage?

CD: The Luxor Ramses are red granite from the Aswan quarry. It would make sense to rough out the shape before taking it from the quarry and delivering it to the machine shop for semi and final finishing. The methods they used to transport it is a perennial question. My opinion is that the technology and methods they used made the task much easier that we can imagine.

BE: Now, to the pyramids of Egypt. I’ve found some sources that have claimed that the pyramids are some type of terraforming device. Have you found similar evidence?

CD: That’s an interesting speculation. The pyramids exist due to terraforming, and I believe were a critical component in shaping the environment.

BE: Have they found that the pyramids have an energy or “power” coming off of them and can be used as an energy device?

CD: That is what I propose in my first book, The Giza Power Plant: Technologies of Ancient Egypt.

BE: You’ve mentioned that there is evidence of electrical cables and terminals in the Great Pyramid. What evidence suggests this?

CD: My interpretation of the function of Gantenbrink’s so called “door” states that it was used as a fluid switch and that the copper rods that protrude through the limestone block and which are redirected into the back of the block are electrodes. There is also what appears to be electrical symbols painted near the electrodes on the floor of the shaft behind the “door”.

Side Note: For those who are not familiar with Gantenbrink’s door, I perused the internet for the best explanation, and out of all the websites I visited, the best explanation came from lecturer and researcher Ellie Crystal of Crystal Links. She explains: “In 1992, German engineer Rudolf Gantenbrink, explored the shafts in the Queen’s Chamber in the Great Pyramid using a crawler robot he designed, called Upuaut II. He discovered that one of the shafts was blocked by what appeared to be a limestone door due to its two eroded copper handles. Upuaut II was unable to navigate around earlier explorers’ rods that were jammed in the passage.

In 2002 the National Geographic Society created another robot, iRobot or Pyramid Rover. The iRobot team had a simple solution to Gantenbrink’s problem. They turned the robot 90 degrees and sent it up the shaft gripping the walls instead of the ceiling and floor. In this manner, it was able to ride over the top of the obstacles. iRobot’s trek up the Northern Shaft revealed another blocked door similar to Gantenbrink’s Door.”

BE: In your opinion and research, why do you think the Pyramids were created?

CD: The evidence indicates that the Great Pyramid transformed seismic energy into electrical energy. I would speculate that the pyramids around the world were built to relieve the stresses in the Earth’s crust and stabilize the planet.

BE: Can we duplicate the construction of the pyramids today?

CD: If the political will and money was available, a way could be found to build a Great Pyramid. Just like a way was made to land on the moon. President Kennedy gave the directive and scientists and engineers got to work removing obstacles that got in the way of making it happen.

Thank you, Chris Dunn.

After further research and study of source material on various theories, Chris concluded that the pyramids must have originally been built to provide a highly technical society with energy — in short, it was a very large machine. Discovering the purpose of this machine and documenting his case has taken the better part of twenty years of research and following the 1998 publication of Chris’s book, “The Giza Power Plant: Technologies of Ancient Egypt” which describes a holistic energy device that is harmonically coupled with the Earth and its inhabitants.

Chris has published over a dozen magazine articles, including the much quoted “Advanced Machining in Ancient Egypt” in Analog, August 1984, and has had his research referenced in over a dozen books on Egypt. In the United States he has appeared on PAX Television, the Travel Channel, Discovery Channel, The Learning Channel, Lifetime Television and most recently on the History Channel in the Ancient Alien episode “The Evidence”.

Chris’s second book, entitled “Lost Technologies of Ancient Egypt: Advanced Engineering in the Temples of the Pharaohs” was published by Inner Traditions/Bear & Company in June of 2010. In this work, Chris focuses on an important aspect of his research into the manufacturing capabilities of the ancient Egyptians and through his engineer’s eye and camera, reveals to his readers previously overlooked magisterial characteristics of Egyptian architectural and manufacturing wizardry.

Thank you for reading this and, like always and in all ways, Much Love to you!
