Reddit-style search on Medium

The fact that I just found this story now sort of proves your point.

I’ve since found on the most recent iOS mobile app discovery to be easier and broader than in the web app. There are more categories, more suggested tags and publications, but sorting and searching still lag behind.

I would propose more Reddit-style searching to go along with enhancing your method of searching a tag and then sorting by latest rather than top.

It’s frustrating to see 5–10 of one day’s Top Stories on Medium persist in that category for so long. Here’s one solution:

Order by

• Hot (trending)
• New
• Most Recommended (able to narrow further by: All Time, Year, Month, Week, Today)
• Most Responses(able to narrow further by: All Time, Year, Month, Week, Today)
• Most Viewed (able to narrow further by: All Time, Year, Month, Week, Today)
