WHY YOU NEED TO MAKE THE DECISION TO DO BETTER AS AN ENTREPRENEUR

By reading this post, you’ll learn why you need to make the decision to do better as an entrepreneur.

Your success or failure as an entrepreneur is going to come down to the decisions that you make on a daily basis.

HELP PEOPLE

You can make a decision to complain, and talk bad about a situation or person, or you can make the decision to help a situation or person… the choice is yours.

MAKE THE DECISION

Making the decision to do better on a daily basis is easier for some, than it is for others. What you need to understand, is that it truly is a decision that you make.

Making a decision to do better, is similar to when you’re driving in your car… when you want to take a left, you find the first place to take a left, and then you make it… it’s that simple.

The same simple process works for your decision making as well, all you need to do is determine that you’re going to make better decisions starting right now, then start making those decisions.

JUST START

The main point is that you need to actually start. Most people say, “I’m going to start tomorrow,” and then tomorrow comes and goes, and the next day comes and goes, and the routing of not starting just goes on and on. What you need to do, is just start, by making better decisions today.

MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

A few years ago, I read a book to my son, called Have You Filled a Bucket Today. Boy, this was a great book… and I highly recommend that everyone reads it, no matter what age you are.

What it basically says, is that everyone has a bucket in life… and that throughout the day, you can either help fill a person’s bucket ie: listen to them, pay attention to them, and be helpful to them; or that you can steal from another person’s bucket ie: saying negative things about them, stealing from them, and being hurtful to them.

The moral of the story, is that people naturally feel happier when they’re filling other people’s buckets. We can do this by being kind, polite, helpful, and whatever other ways that you can imagine. One bucket filling exercise that keeps me in balance throughout the day, is asking myself, who have I helped today? If I say no one, then I get moving to help someone.

The fact is, it just feels good when you help someone… so give it a try today.

APPLY WHAT YOU LEARN

The real gem with all this decision making and bucket filling, is that when you take these simple lessons and apply them to your interactions with your clients, prospects, coworkers, and business associates, something amazing occurs… you skyrocket to success.

NOTICE THE DIFFERENCE

When you make the decision to do better, people notice it… and they’ll actually be attracted to want to do business with you. If you don’t believe me, try it out for a month or two, and see what the world looks like from your new set of positive and enriching eyes.

LET’S SUMMARIZE

Life is up to you. Your immediate surroundings may not be up to you at this point, but your mental decisions are. When you change your mental attitude, your surroundings change as well, in fact, everything changes… for the better. When you fill people’s buckets, it provides fuel which enables you to become more successful yourself.
