What’s Happening with Me
Biz Stone

I joined Twitter in 2007. At first, I didn’t get it at all! Who would give two flips about “what I was doing at that moment”? But I signed up anyway to just check it out. Over the last 10 years, (yes, it’s been a freaking decade!), I’ve had a love/hate relationship, we’ve had our ups and downs, times when I walked away, times when I embraced it with open arms, times its made me laugh and cry. Lately, I’ve dialed back in after a short absence. I find so much comfort and value in Twitter. I would like to see you guys not worry so much about some of the things that don’t really matter, and continue to shape an experience that connects people to one another. Stop over-calibrating on what the suits in Advertising tell you what to do. Just focus on the community of users and what value they extract from the experience and what they contribute. Keep up the good work, make the right hires, bring in people from places other than Silicon Valley, get your leadership team outside of the four walls and into the places where your community is, and just keep building a great social network.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
