Time is Money
The quote “Time is money” is often misunderstood.
It doesn’t mean, “use your time wisely to be efficient.”
It means it in the literal sense, that the best asset we own is time.
There are a million things you can buy. There are a million things you can make. None of which are time. It is only spent, and done so at an evenly progressing rate.
We can’t be sure about the amount of time that is left.
We can be sure about where we spend it. From here all we can do is optimize.
Be intentional about what your goals are, and what you’d feel good about doing before the hourglass is up.
To get you started, Paul Graham has taken the top 5 regrets dying people have, and made them into reminders. This is what he keeps on his to-do list.
“Don’t ignore your dreams; don’t work too much; say what you think; cultivate friendships; be happy.”
Time is money, spend it wisely.
