Design Audit — Bad Interaction

This change machine is bad design. The machine itself not labeled well on its own, so additional information had to be provided afterwards, meaning the initial design could not communicate its limitations correctly. Not only that, but the machine isn’t very user friendly: it only allows $1 bills and quarters to be converted into change, which severely limits the number of options available to the user. The bills only being allowed into the machine in one particular orientation is not the end of the world, but it is certainly an inconvenience. Over all, this machine’s limited use and clunky interaction make it nearly useless.
