Caitlin Johnstone — Rogue Journalist. Your skepticism of the “establishment Russian narrative” is contrary to the laws of human nature. Experience tells us people who lie and/or have amnesia about meetings they had and the people they met at those meetings has to be hiding something worth knowing. (Ask any experienced trial lawyer.) This is true for the Trump forces as well. The Trump tax returns are an especially sore subject. Why would Trump choose to be the first president in memory to refuse to release his returns (obviously, most of which are not under audit), if they didn’t contain info that would be especially damaging to him? Whether what Trump is hiding is enough to bring down his presidency, is an open question. I, for one, suspect not. But it is likely to do permenant damage to it. History tells us that sooner or later the truth will out. And when it does, I expect you’ll be shouting to the heavens and then at your accusers, “had I only known!”
