BreederDAO is a web3 platform focused on creating in-game assets for play-to-earn games. Since our Q4 2021 launch, we have garnered significant traction in the Blockchain Gaming space, landing major partnerships with the likes of Axie Infinity and Yield Guild Games, and receiving funding from renowned VCs Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) and Delphi Digital, among others.
In addition to our strong team, we are honored to be guided by a diverse and experienced group of advisors who have given us their support and contributed greatly to our project’s growth. Below is a brief overview of these advisors and their backgrounds, and how each has and will continue to contribute to BreederDAO’s growth initiatives.
Gabby Dizon
Gabby Dizon is a Philippines-based serial entrepreneur, founder, and game designer who has invested over 10 gaming startups within the past year alone. He began his career as a Systems Analyst and Programmer in 2000.
He is the Co-Founder at Yield Guild Games, a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) that promotes blockchain-based games by providing a platform for users to invest NFTs in virtual worlds. Gabby’s entrepreneurial pursuits began in 2005 when he co-founded mobile gaming studio Anino Mobile Incorporated. He later went on to become the president and CEO of global game outsourcing company Flipside Games for the next four years. Gabby also served as the president of the Gaming Developers Association of the Philippines (GDAP) from 2007 until 2009.
Some of his recent notable positions and accolades include:
- Alto.io (now Outplay Games) — Chairman and Co-Founder.
- Altitude Games — CEO and Co-Founder. Altitude Games is a mobile and blockchain game studio founded by professionals in the Southeast Asian game industry
Piers Kicks
Piers Kicks is a crypto venture capitalist who primarily invests in and supports crypto projects in their early stages. Perhaps most interesting, Piers entered crypto when he was only 13 years old by purchasing his first bitcoin. Now in his early 20s, Piers has founded, co-founded, or invested in one way or another in a number of notable and renowned crypto household names.

- Blockchain Game Alliance — Board Member.
- Delphi Ventures — Founding partner.
- BITKRAFT Ventures — Principal, Crypto Lead.
Ryan Wyatt
Ryan Wyatt is an American gaming executive who has worked with tech giants such as Google and YouTube, with a career centered largely on gaming and esports. At Google, Ryan worked as an executive, whereas at YouTube he served as the Senior Managing Director, Global Head of Gaming. Beyond his career, Ryan was an author of OpTic Gaming: The Making of eSports Champions.
Currently, Ryan serves as CEO at Polygon Studios, a blockchain technology company and media hub owned by Polygon that aims to bring web3 entertainment to the masses and partner with large NFT brands to move towards efficient energy use and high scalability.
Jeff ‘Jihoz’ Zirlin
Jeff ‘Jihoz’ Zirlin is the Growth Lead and Co-Founder of Sky Mavis, the creators of the largest NFT gaming ecosystem, Axie Infinity. With over 2.2M MAU, Axie Infinity is a community-led digital nation that invites gamers to learn Web3 technology while building a better, decentralized world together. As Growth Lead, Jeff spearheads strategic growth initiatives including partnerships, fundraising, user acquisition, community engagement, and is responsible for strengthening the Axie Infinity economy. He received a BA in History from Yale.
Emfarsis
Founded in 2019, Emfarsis is an investment and advisory firm based in the Asia-Pacific region that focuses on cryptocurrency, NFT, metaverse, and Web3 innovation in order to drive social impact and spur economic development.
At present, the firm has invested in several major projects including: Yield Guild Games, IndiGG, and BreederDAO. Leaders from Emfarsis who have played key roles as advisors to BreederDAO include:
Nathan Smale
Nathan is the Director at Emfarsis who has experience in product management and strategy within the blockchain and fintech spaces. Nathan uses his skills to combine the technical, regulatory, and educational aspects of the blockchain industry at large.
His previous roles and achievements include V20 where Nathan was a Strategic Advisor. V20 is a yearly summit that unites the world’s leading cryptocurrency exchanges and virtual asset service providers.
Leah Callon-Butler
Leah is a Director at Emfarsis, and draws on a diverse skill set in areas including marketing, narrating, and writing. Leah’s strong involvement in the blockchain industry is highlighted by her professional and roles and achievements.

- CoinDesk — Columnist. CoinDesk is a news platform and media outlet that specializes in the cryptocurrency and blockchain industries.
BreederDAO’s advisors all bring their own unique experiences, expertise, and perspectives to our project.
