Drink it in! How “coffee branding” can strengthen your business

Editors note: I have no affiliation with the Senator Restaurant. I do however love their food and their business.

The Senator Restaurant was officially established in 1948 and has been a landmark diner ever since. Whether you are just visiting like I was or your a regular you immediately know 3 things:

  • The staff are friendly and attentive
  • The coffee is high quality
  • The food is amazing

You can also purchase other things at the counter but I want to talk about the coffee mugs. (see post picture) The mug itself is high quality, nice and heavy with Senators classic logo. Everything you want in a great daily mug!

This is NOT a sales pitch for visiting the Senator well you are in Toronto (although you should!) this is to talk about “coffee mug” branding.

Coffee Branding Defined: Coffee branding is the act of putting your logo on a high quality coffee mug or travel mug that can hold a customers/prospective customers favourite beverage and can be taken anywhere allowing your brand to be seen everywhere.

The reason I have coined the phrase and defined it above is because I think that no other form of physical advertising can do what “coffee branding” can do here is why:

  • Coffee is the #1 drink in the world.
  • They are purchased or given away and they travel where the owner travels.
  • 9 times out of 10 only fans of your company/brand/product are going to purchase or use your coffee mug/travel mug which means that they are going to tell people about the mug and their great experience and that people have to go there.

I will flush this concept of “coffee branding” further down the road but for now I want to know:
