Love & Marriage
So, as I’m watching FireProof I got to thinking; we as human beings love speaking about love, thinking about love, joking about love, being “in love,” etc. There’s always someone pressuring about being married, there’s religious groups that shout about getting married but it seems as though nobody is truly trying to teach about the fundamentals of love & marriage. I have given it some thought though.
Gosh, I’m such an advocate for love, relationships, & marriage. Every relationship that I’ve seen in life whether good or bad I’ve always wondered how did it get there? How do you get to the point where you don’t want to be with a person or where your relationship look so perfect, a lil too perfect.
Well, watching this movie, for the 100th time, I finally get it. People are in a rush, rush to become married, rush to have kids, rush to “the paper” that they forget one vital part of it all, the significant other. The other person is often left out when it comes to all of the things that make you happy. You say you want to share your life with someone but you’re soo worried about everything else that you lose the person in the process. This is a message for everyone young or old, never married or have been married for ever, never stop dating the person you love & loving you. Let God take hold of your entire relationship. & when I say that I don’t mean be one of those people who book chapter & verse everything because that’s not letting God do His thing that’s acting like a holy rolly _-_ but seriously praying together, laughing together, reading books together, building your relationship with a solid foundation consulting God on your decision making, letting Him remove bad habits. Including Him in your relationship & not just going to church every Sunday thinking that’s a service for Him but actually being a vessel in the loves of others while He is a vessel in your life.
