Meme’s Moving from the Personal to the Business

You raise an interesting point. Recently, more and more companies have used memes to advertise. I am a PRAD major and have studied the way companies bring awareness to their consumers on a digital platform. If we take a look at McDonald’s, we start noticing their banner-like signs that creatively express the ideals and marketing sales of the company.

Is this type of advertisement considered a meme because it is similar to those we see on our personal social media accounts? If so, I can only agree more that these practices bring way more success to the company. As mentioned before, a meme encourages inclusion.
