Spreading the Word…

These past two weeks I have been focusing on spreading the word for the Walk for Water. I have realized now that this is probably the hardest part of planning an event. My mom and I have been looking for sponsors for the walk and we have gotten two this past week. One of the other tough problems I have faced is getting people to donate to the site. My goal is to get most of the sports teams involved in the walk and also the clubs. To get them to donate I want to have a competition and see which team/club can raise the most money. I also want to have a competition between the two innovations classes and see who can raise the most money. I have gotten the football team to definitely participate and soon the basketball team and National Honors Society. Getting my church involved is also something I need to do because they would love to help and they know about my passion for helping Africa.

There is still a lot to do but it is coming together now. I will keep you updated on what I have been doing. Raising this money can save lives in Africa because they are going through a tough drought right now in Kager Kenya and every dollar helps.
